Personal Statement
Teaching to patients or to students requires a connection with them at their level of understanding initially, to assist in growing critical thinking skills. Having been a practitioner in Family and Internal Medicine and a PA educator, has taught me to recognize the level of didactic education a student has had and to assist in enhancing it for the clinical year. I have written numerous summative exams, course exams, OSCE vignettes, administered Packrat and EOR exams and have successfully led a PA program team to state and local medical challenge bowls. I enjoy tutoring PA and Medical students and recognizing each students potential given the right preparation.
